fall

i'm not sure why, but there's just something about fall that makes me feel really content. i love summer, i do. but when fall hits, there's something romantic and warm about it. which is strange, because it's really just getting colder. nevertheless, it makes me really, really happy. the food and the sweaters and the nostalgia. and i love being cozy. sitting in my house with the right amount of light. and the perfect afghan. and the fireplace. which would be admittedly sexier if it didn't flip on with a switch... this next month and a half is going to be so, so busy. parties and showers and babies and weddings and holidays and birthdays... but i'm excited. all celebrations of so many good things with so many good people. i pray that i will be able to drink in all of those moments as they come without being too focused on what's next.
